Welcome to the Coral Triangle Initiative’s Women Leaders Forum Malaysia
The Coral Triangle Initiative Women Leaders Forum (CTI-WLF) is a peer-learning network for women who are playing key leadership roles in sustaining the marine resources of the Coral Triangle. It is envisioned to function as:
- a peer-learning network for women who are playing key leadership roles in sustaining the marine resources of the Coral Triangle region;
- recognize the achievement of grassroots women leaders who are championing marine conservation in the six Coral Triangle countries;
- serve as a platform to build the capacity of women from the Coral Triangle to take leadership roles in preserving and sustaining the region’s unique marine and coastal resources.
The CTI-WLF Malaysia is the national arm of the CTI-WLF; being one of the CTI Member States. The Interim National Secretariat at the moment is WWF-Malaysia (Sabah) supported by CTI Sabah Branch office. Its main aim are to empower women in Malaysia to undertake more leadership roles in public and private organizations; to become successful entrepreneurs; and to be the one-stop networking center for Malaysia to be connected and participate in regional and international organizations marine resources programs. Not only it focuses on women development, WLF Malaysia identify youths as future leaders and thus encourages and supports youth programs as well.
